Hello there,
I have installed Webgrab++ on Parallels on my Mac and followed the config instructions to create an XML file for two Latvian channels my wife watches.
I've uploaded the .xml to Dropbox and tried to point TiviMate at it on my Nvidia Shield (from a 'share link' from Dropbox)
When I go to an individual channel and try to Set EPG Source, the list of sources is empty (message says No Channels)
I've checked my .xml in the EPG Editor and it looks fine.
I've clicked my dropbox share link in a browser and it opens the .xml as text and that looks fine too
Can anybody help me work out what I'm doing wrong?
The Dropbox link to my .xml file is here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/yzodpy1uj83rvmg/EPG_LV.xml
A quick couple of assumptions I wanted to check, also:
- The EPG Editor isn't a vital part of the process is it? I'm thinking it's just for viewing and editing and not an essential step in the process, or am I wrong?
- Sharing from Dropbox with a person or device that doesn't have a Dropbox account has seemed to work fine for me in the past, providing I use Copy Dropbox Link from the context menu. Is there a better way than this? should I host it on my GitHub?
Many thanks in advance.
Try edit your link to dropbox file, https://www.dropbox.com/ change to https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/.... rest of the path.
I'll answer my own question for the benefit of anyone else that runs into this issue:
My dropbox link needed ?dl=1 adding at the end of the URL to allow downloading.
Once I did this, Tivimate could use the EPG I'd created and it worked properly.
