Hi Blackbear
Many thanks for looking, and yes I currently have the sky listings up and running but there is just one channel missing, and wouldn’t you know it is the most watched channel in our household?!
The channel in question is GINX tv, (dedicated to video gaming, as are my wife and I! )
It used to be on freeview over here so it just came down with the EIT data, then freeview dropped it and I picked it up from my STB instead as Virgin media carry the channel.
I have found that there are a few other providers in Europe that list GINX, but they all use a completely different line-up, not just time shifted, so it makes it unusable.
I could use the tvprofil feed for a little while, but then noticed that none of the programs were correct! It changed at some point.
Rob
Wow, thank you so much I honestly did not expect such a fast turnaround, in fact I felt I may be pushing my luck asking at all!
It seems to work, I have only added the GINX channel so far and can see that my listings actually make sense now! but will likely migrate to use the whole feed at some point .
As Webgrab is now my grabber of choice, following the demise of the radio times xmltv I have chipped in a few quid for your sterling efforts.
I don’t know if you know much about mythtv, but in my mythfilldatabase session, inserting data for GINX only there are some weird “invalid program” entries.
Could the "/" in the title be throwing something out here?

Your are most welcome.
Unfortunately I got the same result, I used the same download link in the post above as before, is that right?
I've been deleting my guide.xml each time for testing anyway.
I have <update>f</update> in my config
I have a feeling any problem will be in the mythfilldatabase side of things, I'll try and clear down the data and shove it in fresh (not sure what the kleast detructive way of doing that is yet though!)
starting with a fresh guide.xml
update mode is force
deleted the channel in mythtv
manually cleared down the program data for that channel in the database.
readded the channel in mythtv
Same result.
Having said that I am yet to spot a mistake in the lineup!
The program it's moaning about runs from 3am to 7am and comparing my lineuop in
mythtv with the one online seems to match.
Cool! I'll get straight on it nice one!
not sure what's going on here :
Group (0) :
update requested for - 1 - out of - 1 - channels for 21 day(s)
( 1/1 ) VIRGINMEDIA.COM -- chan. (xmltv_id=GINX) -- mode Force

Unable to update channel GINX
Generic syntax exception:
message:
no index page data received from GINX
unable to update channel, try again later
Existing guide data restored!
Job finished at 24/06/2016 12:01:13 done in 7s
Only just saw the regions file, had a guess at what to do with it and got this :
...
Group (0) :
update requested for - 1 - out of - 1 - channels for 21 day(s)
( 1/1 ) VIRGINMEDIA.COM -- chan. (xmltv_id=London) -- mode Force

Is it me?
Ah, thanks for the clarification, I thought it was along those lines.
This has now all imported sucsessfully into myth with no warnings or errors, so it looks like job done!
Thank you again for your efforts, much appriciated!
Hi Blackbear
Hate to do this but I think we may breach 20 posts yet!
Previously I had only tested with one channel, Ginx.
Then later on Friday I switched my whole STB line-up from the sky feed to the new virginmedia one, not that I am using the whole feed btw, there are a lot of channels that I either do not want or are already serviced by my quad DVBT2 tuner card, so I pick and choose, I think I use about 40(ish).
Anyway, when I ran mythfilldatabase I saw some more “Invalid programme” warnings.
The warnings are for “teleshopping” which could be in one of a few channels by the looks of things, but as I am not using the whole feed I guess there could well be others as well.
Personally, it doesn’t bother me that much because everything I want and use is working great, but if you wanted to look again and get it perfect, after all now it is out there I guess more people will want to use it at some point, I can run in the entire line-up so as to allow you to see all the errors that may remain. It shouldn’t be too much hassle for me I can just save my lineup ini away, create a new one to use the entire feed, synch that to my myth backend and give you the logs?
Rob
Wow, that took a while
It over ran so much that in this morning when I checked and found it still running I realised I had not disabled the midnight cron job update script and so two webgrab jobs were running simultaneously!
Killed them and restarted it and it has recently finished.
I have the webgrab log and the pertinent sections of the mythfilldatabase session, let me know if you need any more.
I have now have some database tidying to do!
Rob
...Not long :-)
I should have mentioned this last time instead of just working around it, need to take a look at the channel list.
Config syntax exception:
file: /home/mythtv/webgrab/WebGrab++.config.xml
message:
error in channel list of the config file!!
duplicate xmltv_id value -- -- !!
in :

Al Jazeera

Al Jazeera

duplicate xmltv-id entries will mess-up the xmltv output!
---- correct the channel-list to have unique xmltv-id values ---
There are two Al Jazeera channels.
Just checked the lineup web page, they are on channels 622 and 831. They both exist in the virginmedia.com_.channels.xml which I just mass copy / pasted into my my config.
grep "al j" virginmedia.com_.channels.xml

Al Jazeera

Al Jazeera

Slighty different site_ids but using the same xmltv_id.
Rob
Yeah that's basically how I worked around it, just wanted to give you the ooportunity to get the channel list perfect to help others in the future.
Rob
Yeah I figured that would be the case which is why it struck me as odd!
Oh well, looks like we are done here, and in under 30 posts! :-)
Thanks again for some great support on a great product.
