Strange error message when missing xmltv_id

I added a few channels this morning and found a strange error message that occurs if a channel is missing an xmltv_id attribute:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object
  at WGconsole.Program.ConsoleApplication (System.String[] args) [0x01cfa] in <274ad6f9740e441a95b86a1d1148edca>:0
  at WGconsole.Program.Main (System.String[] args) [0x00016] in <274ad6f9740e441a95b86a1d1148edca>:0

While this is not strictly a bug (it was caused by the faulty configuration xml) It would be useful if this could display a more useful error message.

This happens in V2.0.5 and V2.1. mono information for reference:
