I donated a week ago now to view the donations forum area and so far have had absolutely no badge added. Contacted Francis as it suggested and still nothing.
Why make encryption and a donation section if nobody is going to actively check when you receive a donation or at least the emails as paypal will notify you of said donation.
Sorry for the click bait title but people should be warned you could be waiting weeks for a badge.

I see you have a badge now...you say i donated a week ago and you [Joined: 4 days ago]. Anyway donation is not automatic, as it is a donation. No rush, keep calm. You are not buying a service or a product, you made a donation. Authors check as soon as they have time, so please be patient.

I donated a few weeks ago and whilst it took some time to action, it is understandable because the process is manual. More importantly though, this isn't a paid service. The donation (as the word implies) is a gesture of goodwill to the guys who are spending their own time helping others.
It is quite unfair/rude to say that people shouldn't bother donating, because similarly why should these guys bother helping?
I only donated €5 but also fully recognise that it pales in comparison to how much it has benefited me and actually saved me money because I didn't have to sign up to any paid EPG services :)
