hi everybody !
i have some problem to generate my guid.xml file with mdb.
First level of extraction seems OK (channels + date + programme)
But on mdb phase, it runs on exception.

Imdb reference is OK
I took a look on the forum, but i haven't see any similar case ?!
So if you have ideas ?
regards
1. change in you config L'Equipe into L Equipe (remove accent)
2. WG++ works now with license so fill in with your data (do not post in forum email and password) then check your WGLicense.log.txt
3. post your mdb config
Thanks for your answer.
So i have notice that i'am a registered user now, so MDB is not available.
i have this trace : "The program will run with performance settings : 'registered_user'"
i will make a donation.
hi,
i made the donation (5 euros).
how time do i need to wait to have new features activated ?
Not much one or 2 day. In the meantime i think you were running mdb to have authors missing in programme tv net ? if so i fixed so now it grab all info, anyway as donator you can use also E and EK siteini. Tomorrow will be enough you run update siteini.pack
hi,
>> "mdb to have authors missing in programme tv net": yes (to get metata data of film on recording ...)
>> "if so i fixed so now it grab all info, anyway as donator you can use also E and EK siteini. Tomorrow will be enough you run update siteini.pack": i'am not sure to have all understand how webgrab+ works :)
i've try figaro site that seems more reliable for series& films.
So i guess that mdb will replace in guide.xml some information build by the first run with more accurate data from IMDB.
It seems that for orange site, title and sub title are inverted.
Hello
Kindly tell me what I am doing wrong. I am trying to use the mdb post-processing but I keep getting the error:
- - - Mdb Element 'mdb-title' not recognised!
- - - Mdb Element 'mdb-title' not recognised!
- - - Mdb Element 'mdb-plot' not recognised!
- - - Mdb Element 'mdb-description' not recognised!
- - - Mdb Element 'mdb-starrating' not recognised!
Unhandled Exception
I don't have any issues witg epg grabbing and rex postprocessing.
Kindly see attached.
hi,
i made the donation but infortunatly, i guess the mail origin (paypal) doesn't fit webgrab+ user mail.
so i sent an email to contact emails (hope explanation are clear enough).
regards
tryas a start with inside "desc"
{'mdb-title'}'description'{\n[imdb description: 'mdb-description']}
once it works configure it as you need/like.
you need to add to license the email you registred in the forum + password (in your forum profile)
it is done but is the password the License pass code ?
does my donation has been taking into account ? (mail problem has explained)
reegards
yes the license password in your profile and the email you used to register in the forum. For the donation will ask the authors, usually takes 2-3 days
ok. That has been done.
In logs i see various type of donation etc....
I am having a problem with mdb throwing an unhandled exception too.
When I run mdb without writing in the database, it works. When I activate the database usage, it writes the first show in the database and then throws an exception. When I repeat this and keep the database, it directly throws the exception. When I delete the database it again writes the first show in the database and then crashes. Does anyone know, what the problem is?
i see some strange stuff for series....do you have also those mdb_ini stuff?
I don't use it for series. I threw out everything for series and it didn't change anything (see modified config).
I reduced the Mdb.config.xml even more. Now there is almost nothing in it:
I get the impression that it has something to do with the title or the search results. I deleted my old local imdb database and fetched the program again and this time mdb didn't crash at the first movie but at the fourth:

On the other hand - the first two shows didn't write anything in the database...
even if it worked do u have any idea how how long mdb would take to search 13301 titles?
i would guess the next grab would be running before its done if u ran it once a day.
everyone is forgetting that when webgrab was made there wasnt iptv, there was your local ota or satellite.
mdb i think was made for few programs
it will take hours(i would guess 12 hrs plus) to run a imdb search on that many titles.
try to set only imdb.com.ask (the newest version)
This is no IP-TV. This is satellite for 3 weeks. For a daily run it would be much less, because it would only get one additional day.
I set only imdb.com.ask but it didn't help.
I am pretty sure that the problem is not the search. If I don't configure it so it writes in the local database it does not crash.
My impression is that it is a problem with the local database. If I don't use it, it does not crash. But I really want to use it to speed things up!
I tested some more:
Even when I run with
ldbfilename update=""
does WebGrap crash when there is the database file. Even if it is empty (created with touch).
It does however work when there is no database file.
I created a trace with mono. Since I am no C# Developer, I am not sure what to make of it. I see however an "OBJECT:(nil)" - that doesn't sound right to me.
Here comes the end of the trace:

I tested it again with version 3.1.1 but it still crashes.
Hi, today I have the same issue with the MDB postprocessing: it seems that it works only without the update:
<ldbfilename update="">mdb.xml</ldbfilename>
thanks
Hi, I'm still having this issue even with the latest 3.1.5 version: I'm using the imdb.com.imdb ini selecting and matching movies only... If I flag the option to write the local database "f" I have the Unhandled Exception after the first write to this file; if I don't enable local database it works as expected.
