Hello,
the foxtel guide in Aust has changed recently
--> http://www.foxtel.com.au/whats-on/tv-guide/default.htm
and the current siteini file doesn't appear to be working.
I thought that perhaps I could download SitiIninIDE and see if I could change it however I am unable to download this, it keeps coming up with an error.
Is someone please able to have a look or advise as to what may need changing
Thanks .....
Fixed
What was the exact problem with downloading the SiteIniIDE?
Thanks for your help, just made a donation for your efforts.
Sadly it seems that there is still an issue as all I get it the following error : "The remote server returned an error <500> Internal Server Error", which just repeats over and over. Is there anything I can do to sort this out ?
When trying to download SitiIninIDE I'm getting the message " ...The connection was reset". I just tried downloading it on another PC and was able to do so so there is obviously an issue with my main PC with regards to the SitiInnIDE pgm (I'm still getting the problem on that PC). I'll see if I can work that out over the weekend.
Cheers ...
Sorry but does anyone have an idea what may be causing this. The program just returns :
"The remote server returned an error <500> Internal Server Error",
I've tried other siteini files and they work fine, its just the Australian Foxtel site that doesn't want to work.
Thanks .....
Edit : Please hold off looking at this for the momemt, there could be an issue with the actual webpage, Cheers ...
UPDATE :
This still does not work. There was an issue with the site for a few hours last night however this has been resolved and the problem still exists unfortunatlely.
I am using version 55.25 of WG++ (the same problem occurs using ver 54)
My operating system is Win 8,1, 64 bit
Logs are attached.
Please let me know if there is anything else required. I have sadly reached my very limited knowledge trying to work it out.
Thanks .....
Guys,
I'm getting the same "The remote server returned an error <500> Internal Server Error", error. And this is with the new foxtel.com.au.ini file.
Is anyone able to shead some light on this issue?
Tested over here.
With the 55.25 beta version, I also get errors. But with the previous 54 version, all works well.
The "<500> Internal Server Error" is probably an issue of the site itself (and apparently already fixed?). So nothing WG++ can do about. But the error you see in the logging:
Comes from the bug in 55.25 beta. Check with the latest beta version 55.26 (currently not released) and there it also works. So the fix of the bug was introduced between 54 and 55.25 and is fixed in 55.26. I'll see when we can release the 55.26 version. But for now, you could go with the 54 version.
Im still getting the same error on v54,
Thanks Francis, will try tomorrow and let you know how it goes..
I also have the "The remote server returned an error <500> Internal Server Error" running v54. Although the majority of the output file is populating there is a lot of show titles with "(?)" beside the name and no show synopsis. Looking at the logs they are full of these types of errors
suspicious title in index page = CSI: NY
differs from title in showdetails = CSI: NY (?)
suspicious title in index page = Mike & Molly
differs from title in showdetails = Mike & Molly (?)
And these when doing an incremental update
channel TVH!TS site -- FOXTEL.COM.AU -- update mode incremental
forced update : show REPLACED (forced update / overlap or timeorder error in EPG
show with ---- start = 7/07/2015 2:00:00 PM stop = 7/07/2015 3:00:00 PM title = The Mentalist (?)
Replaces ----- start = 7/07/2015 2:00:00 PM stop = 7/07/2015 3:00:00 PM title = The Mentalist (?)
forced update : show REPLACED (forced update / overlap or timeorder error in EPG
show with ---- start = 7/07/2015 5:30:00 PM stop = 7/07/2015 6:00:00 PM title = Two and a Half Men (?)
Replaces ----- start = 7/07/2015 5:30:00 PM stop = 7/07/2015 6:00:00 PM title = Two and a Half Men (?)
It does appear there is teething issues with the new guide looking at the community support, but if Francis is getting a fully populated output file with no errors then it does not appear to be an error in the site but we are missing something in our configs. Francis do you mind posting your ini files to help solve our issues?
Siteini I use, is the official one.
Tested with the version of "enaz" and there I also get these issues.
Seems that part of the guide still works with the old API. We will have to find out if we can support the new API.
Had a quick look and I think it will be a difficult one.
Francis, Thanks for looking at that. yeah i can see that some channels work and other just error out. I Hope we can find a way to support the new API as foxtel.com.au was the best place to get channel data from for foxtel. Otherwise we will have to use yourtv.com.au which typicall has out of date data.
Will send a donation your way for the effort.
Yep, thanks a lot Francis, much appreciated.
A lot of people are pretty pissed at Foctel for changing the guide, it doesn't work all the time, looks awful and lacks quite a bit of functionality of the previous one so we may get luck and they change it back ... but I doubt it.
Hye francis any luck?
Just a gentle bump as I have come back from interstate and also found that this is no longer working. Assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Any luck with this
Happy to donate if a solution could be found
Thanks Glenn
Anyone got an update on this.. Francis?
Not sure if its been worked on or not but all seems good again so thanks very much ..
