MDB extremely slow

Hi guys,

I am brand new to this software, the capability seems excellent, the only issue that I am having is that the MDB seems to be extremely slow, making it pretty much not usable for me since MDB post processing takes >24 hours (I've never actually let it finish as I stop it after about a day to try and tweak the settings for faster speed). I am trying to post process 21 channels for 1 week duration. Is this speed normal? Perhaps my expectations to process 1 week of data is unrealistic?

I am running the software on a Synology DS212+ and a fast internet connection, while running the software the server CPU and memory are only lightly loaded, perhaps this is something in my configuration?

I did look through my WebGrab++.log.txt and after 11 hours of post processing the log file is 12MB, 144,512 lines with 453 timeouts. Does this all seem normal to you? I do see matches in the mdb.xml, although not many but I figure that can improve once I start playing with the settings in mdb.config.xml, I just haven't been able to get that far yet.

Attached are my config files and a few lines out of the log file which is hopefully enough for you to see what is going on. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

-Mike

I seemed to have gotten a step further by changing some settings in mdb.config.xml and using tvdb for series instead of imdb. The files seem to be downloading quicker and the log file looks a lot cleaner. Now the problem is whenever I run mdb, no matter what I do it keeps freezing on the same exact show (93 out of 255). I have tried deleting mdb.xml, as well as the xml file which is generated from the grabber portion to start everything clean but it just crashes at the exact same location with no info in the log.

Any ideas?

Seems that there was a bug in the V1.1.1/54.

But it also seems to be already fixed in the latest beta (tested with V1.1.1/55.26)

Hi Mike_F

indeed for series the prefered site is tvdb, it is faster and also supports so called aka titles, which improves the matching of trtanslated titles and episode titles.
When I run with your files I get no problem with any of the shows (also 93 has no problem).
I run it with beta build 55.26, that has mdb postprocess V1.8. (There where a few updates of the MDB postproces after 55.10).

So try again with 55.26

Thanks a lot for looking into this for me guys. I updated to the beta as you suggested and I also updated the site ini files from the zip on your website rather than the ones that came with the program by default and everything seems to be working great now. I can now grab all my channels and post process everything in about 3 hours. I really appreciate the support.
